Culture Pushers
I have been looking for ways to expand my network and find more like minded people. And surprise, you won’t find them in your home! That’s probably a burglary! I get it, you’re probably tired after working an 8 hour shift or more. I also realized, I have to find energy to work on my dreams outside of work!
I learned I have to search for things I enjoy within my community. Which lead me to a few events hosted by 808Entertainment. A collective in Dallas that focuses on positive development and culture in the community.

The collective on November 6th, hosted their 7th Protools Series session. This session titled Culture Pushers featured panelists Victoria Samone, Kenny Reeves, and Cameron Tendaji and moderator Mo Classified! The panelist provided excellent dialogue about the state of culture in Dallas.
808 Entertainment gave panelist plaques bearing their names for being pushers of the Culture in Dallas.

They touched on topics such as using your “9-5 to fund your hustles” and were open about their journeys! One panelist even mentioning they worked for a year on their endeavors before actually seeing a dollars profit. I feel that it’s important to remember that success does not happen overnight! This was a great reminder for myself.
They also discussed challenges they have faced during their growth. They mentioned difficulties in searching for space that could be maintained for & by the culture itself. A space in which our community can be embraced with no issues.

I definitely appreciate 808Entertainment for another dope event! I was able to network with some great people, and I even won concert tickets from 97.9 the Beat!
